A lane
The Citizen lane
Fairness, the neighborhood, and taking care of what we share. Turns, picking up, and the jobs that make a block (and a squad) work for everybody. Lanes never change the bones of the week; they add one concrete tilt toward what your kid loves, at every age.

You might be here ifโฆ
- Gets upset when a turn isn't fair, and tries to fix it
- Wants to help the neighbor, the park, the planet, in that order
- Reminds you of the rule, then follows it themselves
Not sure? Start in Explorer. Homie watches what your kid returns to and you can switch lanes anytime from your Family page.
How the lane tilts every stage
- ๐ฑ Newborn Squad
The house is a neighborhood: the same two grown-ups, the same voice, the same 'we're here.'
- ๐ผ Infant Squad
Pass the toy, then wait: the first fair-share game, modeled not lectured.
- ๐งธ Crawler Squad
Two toys out, one for a friend (or a grown-up): the first turn, with a timer they can see.
- ๐ฃ Young Toddler Squad
A wipe-the-table job that is for everybody, not just their spill. The room is shared.
- โ๏ธ Toddler Squad
Turns with a timer, a shared job that serves the squad, and one neighborhood-care moment a week.
- ๐จ Preschool Squad
Feelings Toolbox plus a weekly neighborhood job: a library book return, a park pickup, a fair-share rule they help set.
- ๐ Early Elementary Squad
A weekly neighborhood contribution: a letter, a cleanup, a rule they help the pod keep fair.
- ๐ฌ Elementary Squad
Civics Lab is their lane: the meeting, the comment, the fair rule, the thing that changed.
- ๐งญ Middle Squad
Serve is their lane: a community problem, a partner organization, and a measure of what changed.
- ๐ High School Squad
Public service, organizing, and policy: a real need, a partner, and a measure of change on the transcript.
Twelve weeks of Citizen tilts
Week 1
๐ Hello, Squad!
Share the bin: when someone wants what they have, practice 'your turn next' with a sand timer.
Week 2
๐ Color Splash
Color fairness: one crayon per person from the shared cup; they help pass them out.
Week 3
๐ Wheels & Roads
Road rules: stop at the tape 'crosswalk' and wait for the friend to go first.
Week 4
๐ง Water & Weather
Weather helpers: if a plant is thirsty, they carry the cup. The house is a neighborhood that needs looking after.
Week 5
๐ฆ Bugs & Butterflies
Leave the log how you found it; put the bug back. The yard is shared.
Week 6
๐ Farm & Food
Fair shares at the market stand: one egg for you, one for a friend, one for the table.
Week 7
๐ Community Helpers
This is the Citizen's week: pick up three pieces of 'litter' (paper you planted) at the park and thank a helper by name.
Week 8
๐จ Build It!
Cardboard City needs a library and a park that anyone can use. They decide where the shared places go.
